Spring 2011 Outlook

Joes Farm is once again going full steam ahead and plowing through spring 2011. Warm weather has returned and we have big bold plans for Joes Farm again. Due to the incredible performance of Joes Farm over the past several seasons we have recently received approval from our land trustee to more than double the size of Joes Farm. Needless to say we (Joes Farm) are delighted.

The construction of the additional fields is nearly complete. Our last and most important step is the creation of the world famous Joes Farm soil. This is no easy task. We are awaiting the delivery of the aggregate to complete this mixture. The aggregate is only a small part of Joes Farm world famous soil mixture. The most important portion of this mixture comes from the i care organics composting/vermicomposting facility that is operated by Joes Farm. Joes Farm i care oragnics compost and vermicompost is proudly made by Americans for Americans. Upon completion of the soil creation Joes Farm is going to begin planting crops in the new fields. We (Joes Farm) already have crops growing in the older more established fields. Winter crops are nearing harvest, spring time crops are growing by leaps and bounds, and Summer Crops are in the Joes Farm incubator.

Here are the new fields as they are being built. Please Enjoy.

  1. JoesFarm,
I would like to know what species of wood you used for your raised beds and why you chose to use that species?

My research into raised bed materials has stated to not use pressure or chemical treated lumber to maintain soil purity. Naturally, this leads one to choices of Cedar or Redwood, however these can be cost prohibitive.

As a respected authority, your advice would be appreciated.

  2. Dear JoesFarm:
You don't know me personally, but I live on the northwest corner of Juarez, Mexico. My name is Juan. About two weeks ago, a good amigo of mine told me he was planning a massive robbery in the land of Las Vegas. I had assumed he was talking about taking down a casino or a bank again, but instead he said something like Jose's Plantacion.
I could not find anything in the phone book about this in las vegas, nevada, uSA, planet earth, but I am now suspecting mi mejor amigo was talking about your farm.
by the looks of your plantation, I can see exactly why he would be gathering all the townspeople to try and take over or at least rob you of your valuable soon to be growing crops.
But please don't worry, I am your amigo. I have developed a new plan to save JoesFarm. I can't write about it right now, because my english is no good, but its going to work out real well for you. Please just wire me $35 dollars American, to the Western Union at 35 Santa Domingo Street in Juarez Mexico, and you will be safe.
