STORM WATCH 2011

Joes Farm brings you good tidings for the new year. We had a monstrously successful year on the farm in 2010 and there is no doubt that 2011 will bring another record breaking harvest. Although we have the highest hopes for 2011 it has had a rough beginning.

Much like the rest of the country, Joes Farm has been under the grips of STORM WATCH 2011. We have been receiving arctic blasts of cold air and blizzards of biblical proportions. With temperatures plummeting as low as 30 degrees. While the farm is still thriving we did have our concerns. Our fans and followers have also had their concerns. I wanted to assure everyone in the world that Joes Farm not only survived STORM WATCH 2011 but that we thrived in during STORM WATCH 2011. Thank you all for your concern. Below is a picture of the damage and destruction  from the winter storm that ravaged the las vegas valley.

  1. Dear Joe, I have large faith that this year will be the most bountiful year that the farm will have to offer! Just look! Any farm that can last through these strained conditions is a prosperous one! I hope the next harvest comes soon...can I make a request?? Can we have some more canteloupe this year please???? With love, Jill

  2. Farmer Joe,
I'm glad that you made it through the storm ok. I too am a farmer of sorts, and am happy to see all the success your having in the dessert. All my tomatos are in pots, and I've been moving them in the house during the nights for the past few weeks. I'm happy to say that I'm finally starting to see some babies appearing in clusters as of last week. I thought for sure I'd have to wait til March/April before those sweet little babies would show up. Anyways, I'm looking forward to the spring when a new crop will arrive and the salad tossing can begin! Dr. B
